
PopcornU provides children ages 7 to 12 a personalized, interactive learning experience while enjoying their favorite movies.
PopcornU is your child’s ticket to living room learning. Learning can be fun! Just pop in your child’s favorite movie, open the PopcornU app on your tablet or smartphone and PopcornU will recognize the movie and periodically challenge your child with educational questions presented in a fun and entertaining manner.
PopcornU will recognize keywords spoken in a given movie and generate age appropriate questions, offer praise for correct answers, correct incorrect answers, provide a final score, and offer rewards based on accumulated points. Rewards will consist of discounted movies and movie memorabilia from paid advertisers.
Children love movies! Parents love education! PopcornU creates the pefect blend for living room harmony by giving everyone what they want. Children have unprecedented tolerence for watching their favorite movies over and over again. By injecting ten questions per movie, PopcornU adds variety in addition to learning. With a library of over 100 questions per film, a child can watch the same movie ten times before having to answer the same question. Parents will be able to monitor their child’s answers and feel better about the amount of television or computer/tablet time spent.

Amanda Blain - Amanda is an Entrepreneur, CEO, Code Monkey, Gamer and UberGeekGirl. Eric j. Gall - Eric is a figurehead in the Southwest Florida business community. His balance of Corporate and entrepreneurial experiences includes 17 years of Ford Motor Company where he lead the integration of Ford, Jaguar Volvo, Land Rover and Mazda product development activities and managed product strategy and planning for 12 intentional markets. Eric’s latest entrepreneurial endeavor includes leadership of C3 Connect, a wide-area broadband provider targeting high transient traffic areas including Florida beaches and resort areas. Eric is involved with business devlopment and partnerships.

Brennan Falkner - Brennan is a freelance developer from Tampa, Florida. Here has worked for various start up companies for 5 years. Brennan codes in .Net, Ruby, JavaScript. He is co-founder of a Gazelle Lab startup company based in Tampa, Florida. He is working on development for the team.

Nathan Schwagler - Nathan holds the title of Creative-In-Residence at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg College of Business, where he teaches courses such as: “Creativity and Innovation in Entrepreneurial Firms” and “New Venture Creation” and is responsible for integrating deliberate creativity into undergraduate business courses. Nathan is a co-founder of TEDxTampaBay, and travels the country facilitating the creative problem solving process for organizations seeking creative solutions to the challenges they face.Nathan is involved in business development and partnerships.

Ben Child - Ben is a young, design entrepreneur living in Orlando, FL responsible for front end and design work on the team. Ben moved down to Florida after finishing his degree from Andrews University in SW Michigan. Since that time, he has been working and hustling in the interactive design arena ever since. He co-created Small Fortune, a boutique design studio, last year where he is the interactive director and new business lead.

Sean Steinmarc - Sean is CEO of psGive, where he guides the overall strategy, internal and external operations of the organization. A graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Sean spent the first eight years of his career in financial services leadership roles across a Top 5 global bank and a Fortune 100 company. His primary roles were converging technology and business strategies, and improving operational processes. From there, Sean was asked to join the executive team for a leading alternative student financing company, where he overhauled their marketing efforts and extended their reach into new markets.
